Transform tools – Crop

Usage
  • This tool allows you to crop image, which means to cut out an area of an image by selecting the area that you wish to keep. This tool also provides additional settings for more precise control. 

How to use
  • Position your cursor where you want to start your crop. Left-click and drag to select the area that you want to remain in your image. Release the mouse button to finish selecting your crop area. You can now click and drag your crop square to move it, and drag the corners to adjust it. Notice that the area outside of your crop is darker. This will be “cut out” when you crop your image. To cancel the crop, hit the “Esc” key on your keyboard or press “Cancel” button (13). To complete the crop, hit the “Enter” key on your keyboard or press “Apply” button (12). You are left with your newly cropped image.

  • This tool transforms whole image. 

Tool settings

 

  1. 1.Enables “centered” mode.  When this mode is enabled then selected area will created from the center. 

  2. 2.Enables “square” mode. When this mode is enabled then selected area will have square ratio. 

  3. 3.Enables “fixed position” mode.  When this mode is enabled then selected area will be positioned at defined position. Position define edit boxes 4, 5. 

  4. 4.Distance of the crop area from the left side of the image. 

  5. 5.Distance of the crop area from the top side of the image. 

  6. 6.Enables “aspect ratio” mode. When this mode is enabled then selected area will have defined aspect ratio. The aspect ratio define edit boxes 8, 9. 

  7. 7.Enables “fixed size: mode. When this mode is enabled then selected area will have defined size. Size define edit boxes 8, 9. 

  8. 8.Displays or defines width of the crop. 

  9. 9.Displays or defines height of the crop. 

  10. 10.Displays angle of the crop. 

  11. 11.Displays panel with additional settings. 

  • Filter – Sets which image filter will be used for rotating image. 

  • Remove Cropped – Sets whether cropped areas will be removed or stay hidden. 

  • Show shade –  Sets whether area outside crop will be darkened. 

  1. 12.Apply – This button is displayed only when crop area is selected. By pressing this button is crop process completed. 

  2. 13.Cancel –  This button is displayed only when crop area is selected. By pressing this button is crop process canceled.
